Arrived early at KARB to do a thorough preflight (as always). Alex showed up and told me that we'd fly to Adrian, MI so that we could practice takeoffs and landings at KADG Lenawee County Airport. Here's a short video of my first landing. Video description: The runway is a couple of hundred feet ahead of the nose of the plane. We descend slowly and touch down gently, slightly veering to the right due to a lack of rudder / aileron coordination with the light crosswind. Image description: A map with a GPS track of our flight, which began and ended in Ann Arbor and extended to Adrian. A closeup shows our traffic pattern work at KADG–5 rectangular paths around the airport, beginning and ending on the runway.
Lesson 5
Another great lesson! Takeoff #2 went really well. Power-on stalls, balked landing practice, and ground reference work. Also made the landing approach up to final where my instructor took the controls. Image description: me standing in front of the Michigan Flyers clubhouse sign.
Lesson 4 - First Takeoff
Lesson went well! Did my first takeoff (unexpectedly), stalls, and more steep turns. More video coming soon. Image description: The plane that I've been learning in, a Cessna 152, parked and facing the camera in the distance
